NOMAD
I carry all I have,
yet live without my need,
travel from house to home,
drifting like pollen seed.
Purchase what can not be bought,
while looking for what can't be sought,
through markets near and far to find you.
Struck while bracing for the storm,
the wind it blows but isn't warm,
though in the desert,
still I'm freezing.
Search, it doesn't mean you'll find it.
Run, you might not get away.
I used to disagree, now I can't accept,
this storm over me.
I carry all I have,
yet live without my need,
travel from house to home,
drifting like pollen seed.
I pull wings between my teeth,
stuck _______ beetles I must eat,
that come above from all the flooding.
Muddy feet & on my clothes,
I smell like ____ and no one knows,
who gives a ____ still I am nothing.
Search, it doesn't mean you'll find it.
Run, you might not get away.
I used to disagree, now I can't accept,
this storm over me.
Bugs & flies engulf the sky as far as eye can see.
Sun I knew, covered blue, by clouds that follow me.
Hush, don't you know?
Where I'd go,
for you?
And what I would face,
to find & bring you home.
Rain and god that beats me down.
No, go, fight the wasteland.
Baby no peace.
